Trail Overview

This is an easy trail from the highway onto the Black Velvet Road. Head in a short distance to an area to air down. After airing down, the trail has a few small obstacles with easy bypasses. Most of the trail is easy gravel with a few sections of rock gardens, a few wash crossings, and some washboards. It's an easy trail with beautiful views. The trail ends at the Late Night Trail parking lot where you can air up, use the restroom, and hit the road home. Only licensed 4x4 vehicles are allowed in the Red Rock National Conservation Area.

Beautiful short loop trail. Easy single track dirt road with occasional turn outs for passing vehicles. Some puddles if it rained recently. Any high clearance vehicle should be fine. Some side trails to get to popular hikes are much rougher and require 4x4.

Access Description

Head west on Highway 160 towards Pahrump and turn just after the Late Night Trailhead parking lot.
