Trail Overview

This is an easy and very scenic trail through the Nevada desert. Although the trail lacks any large trees, you do get to experience the natural offerings of the desert as well as great views of the Spring Mountains to the west. The elevation gain provides great views of Mount Potosi, Mount Charleston, as well as the Las Vegas strip in the distance. The lack of hard obstacles makes this trail accessible even by stock vehicles with moderate clearance.

The trail is pleasant until you reach the midpoint, where you may encounter a few segments where you have to drive on the side. Once you reach the creek washouts, you will need a decent lift to cross the damaged path and continue to the other side.

Fairly easy trail fun to go fast on. Just need to watch out for uneven off camber dips in the trail. I saw a couple of trophy Trucks fly by me probably training for the mint 400 it was awesome to see. If you’ve done Cottonwood pass before this is a good trail where you can go faster a little more consistently as long as you learn the trail.

Lots of ruts and short steep grades in the washes. Some patches of snow.
