Trail Overview

The Seven Magic Mountains is an outdoor art installation featuring seven painted boulder totems. Most people access the exhibit via a paved road. This route is more adventurous and all off-road. This trail is relatively easy, and the only challenges are a couple of loose rock hill climbs. Any high-clearance vehicle will be fine on this trail through the desert landscape. After several loose hill climbs, you traverse the Jean Roach dry lake area before reaching the Seven Magic Mountain exhibit. First opened on May 11, 2016, Seven Magic Mountains is a large-scale, site-specific public artwork by Rondinone that was nearly five years in the making.

Difficulty

This is a rocky dirt road without any significant obstacles. Two loose hill climbs are the only challenging areas. It is easily passable in any high clearance vehicle, so four wheel drive is not necessary.

Definitely the Last I Take This Trail. Shame it Looks Trashy and Littered With Shooters Targets/Junk. Folks Shooting Over the Trail in Some Spots. If Your Looking for Brass to Melt There's Plenty of Spent Casings to Pick up.

The trail definitely needs high ground clearance but it leads you to a dry lake bed where you can really have a good time! This trail is awesome!!
