Trail Overview
The Skyline ATV trail starts at the Teepee Creek Trailhead in the Gallatin National Forest at a small dirt parking lot. This trail is open to vehicles 50" or less, and there is a boulder pinch point as it enters the forest. It's a very easy two-track for the entire 5 miles until it meets up with the Red Cub singletrack. It's a wide and smooth dirt trail with almost no rocks. You have to watch out for mud puddles, small ruts, and infrequent small rocks. There are several big wide hairpin turns, but they are gradual and smooth and navigable for almost any skill level. It goes through a lot of grassy meadows and pine trees. It is open to motorized use 7/16 - 12/1.
