Trail Overview
Beginning from the North Fork Trail, the first two miles of this trail are a pleasant, sceni,c and solitary experience, and the tread is designated and suitable for small 4x4s, 60" SxSs, ATVs, and dirt bikes. At the FS/BLM boundary, however, the trail quickly deteriorates and the trail offers the full gamut of obstacles, including deadfall, vegetation encroachment, boulders, washouts, and tight spots. If you like a serious technical challenge in your trail, the last mile of this trail will reward your interest. But if your vehicle is wider than 60", you are likely to end up calling for a rescue. This trail is closed by the BLM to all wheeled vehicles from December 2 through May 15, and closed to snowmobiles in the winter.
