Trail Overview

Horsethief Recreation Area has easy dirt trails with few steep sections or obstacles. Trails are all connected or out-and-back, so it is unlikely that people will get lost out here. This is the main route connecting the north and south access/parking areas. There are several trails off of this main route that all return to this main trail.

This is a network of easy dirt trails that are relatively straightforward, with few steep sections or obstacles to navigate. The terrain varies between dirt and rocky roads. While using these trails, you might come across shallow water crossings and obstacles under 12 inches in height, including small ledges. The paths are generally one-vehicle-wide two-track trails.
