Trail Overview
This trail is designed for seasoned rock crawlers and is not for the faint of heart. Known as "UA," short for Ultimate Adventure, it pays tribute to the legendary off-road event built for those who eat, sleep, and breathe the off-road lifestyle. The Ultimate Adventure crew brought their challenge to Iron Range back in 2004, and this trail remains a testament to that spirit.Expect massive boulders, some reaching up to 3 feet tall, and constantly shifting terrain that demands precise tire placement and a well-built rig. The trail is set on a hillside, so rollovers or sliding off your line are real possibilities. There are multiple line choices, but none of them are easy. Skid plates, rock sliders, and a winch are highly recommended. A good spotter wouldn't hurt either.

Difficulty
It features steep terrain and boulders up to 3 feet tall, with multiple line options that demand precise tire placement. The trail runs along a hillside, so tipping or sliding is a real risk. This one's built for experienced drivers with solid gear--expect a true test of both rig and skill.
History
The Iron Range OHV Recreation Area was built on reclaimed mining land, once part of the rich Mesabi Iron Range that fueled U.S. steel production for over a century. Today, this 1,200+ acre site blends industrial history with outdoor adventure, offering a rare chance to ride through the remnants of Minnesota's mining legacy.
