Trail Overview
This relatively short but fun trail is a well-maintained gravel road that passes through the Beltrami Island State Forest and the Beltrami Island Wildlife Management Area. It passes a wetland, but the road remains in good condition without any deviation. Beware of other adventurers on this route, as the road does have a few curves and turns, obscuring your view of the upcoming road. Several trails branch off from the main route, but take care, as a small section of this trail passes by the Red Lake Reservation, and there are signs clearly showing the boundary with no trespassing. Access to the east entrance of the Hogsback Obrien trail can be found along this trail. At the northern end of this trail, you will find the Faunce Campground.
