Trail Overview
Pit Lake Spur B begins as a relatively level route composed of gravel and exposed rock, with occasional potholes. The early section of the trail is somewhat overgrown and passes a lake before continuing into denser forest. Eventually, it opens briefly into a clearing marked by a red boundary post. Beyond this point, the character of the trail changes significantly--it becomes very narrow, technical, and increasingly overgrown, with tight vegetation that makes pinstriping likely for full-size vehicles. The terrain includes a series of steep ascents and descents, along with deep, eroded rocky ruts that require careful navigation. As the trail continues, it becomes so narrow and faded that it nearly disappears before ending at a small clearing that may be suitable for dispersed camping. This trail is best navigated by smaller off-road vehicles such as side-by-sides or ATVs. There are no formal campsites or services, and no amenities such as trash disposal or water sources. Cell coverage may be limited throughout the area.
