Trail Overview

The Nester Creek Pit trail begins with a smooth gravel surface and crosses a small creek, though caution is advised as the road is starting to erode at the crossing. From there, the trail winds through forested terrain with a mix of ascents and descents, eventually opening up to a large gravel pit or quarry. Beyond the pit, the trail climbs steeply over loose rock, which may require careful tire placement depending on conditions. After the ascent, the trail becomes narrow, overgrown, and increasingly rough, with a mix of rocks, bumps, and seasonal wildflowers encroaching on the track. This section feels seldom used and is likely to scratch vehicle paint due to vegetation. The trail eventually reaches a small clearing where it ends abruptly, blocked by trees that appear to have been deliberately felled across the route. There are no formal campsites along the way, and there are no amenities such as water sources or trash disposal. Cell service may be intermittent or unavailable.
