Trail Overview

This trail follows a narrow, two-track path composed of gravel and sand. It is often dusty, although some stretches remain wet, depending on recent weather conditions. The route winds through forested terrain with steady ascents and descents, and large ruts are present along portions of the track, requiring careful driving. Despite the rough surface, the forest scenery makes the trip worthwhile, with tall trees and quiet surroundings. The trail includes several muddy pits and areas where grass has grown thick along the roadway. Vegetation encroaches into the path in places, though not to the extent that it causes pinstriping on vehicles. Toward the end, the track passes into a mowed section that leads toward private property. At a clearing, a gate blocks access, and beyond the trail, it becomes heavily overgrown. Along the way, the trail also passes a marsh and eventually opens to a large clearing. As of August 2025, this clearing contained a discarded mattress with three full water bottles placed on it, an unusual sight in an otherwise natural setting. Overall, this is a narrow forest track with rugged conditions, some odd features, and limited facilities, making it better suited for a short off-road excursion rather than an extended stay. The trail does not provide dispersed campsites, and there are no amenities such as trash disposal or potable water. Cell phone service may be unreliable or absent.
