Trail LL FDR-5311 is located in Ontonagon County, Michigan. This lollipop-style trail starts at its intersection with Bond Falls Road. The trail is classified as a Lollipop style trail since it has a shared entry and exit point that is accessible by all vehicle types. The surface of this trail is mostly sand/ dirt with some small areas of gravel mixed throughout. The trail is very hilly with lots of flowing corners, as well as a plentiful amount of rolling hills. The landscape around the trail is made up mostly of mature hardwoods, with some pines mixed throughout. The steep and soft terrain throughout this trail can lead to severe washouts, so to avoid this, water dams have been placed throughout the trail. These dams can be easy to miss if approached at speed, and range in depth from 6-18 inches. The dams are segregated to the loop portion of this trail. Be cautious when in this area.

Difficulty

This trail can easily be navigated by riders of all skill levels. The terrain is very forgiving, and sight lines throughout the trail are okay to good. Obstacles on this trail are limited; however, the loop portion of the trail does have several water dams placed strategically throughout to help prevent erosion. The dams range in depth from 6-18, and can be easy to miss if traveling at speed. The trail width can easily accommodate two AATVs or OHM's however, some SxSs may need to slow down or come to a stop when passing.

Access Description

This trail does not have any direct parking access, so plan on riding to it. This trail can be accessed by Bond Falls Rd, as well as LL Fdr-5288 Trail. Bond Falls Park does offer parking, but a permit is required to park. The nearby towns of Land O Lakes, Watersmeet, as well as Bruce's Crossing have various parking locations available.
