Trail Overview
NFS 6050 is a neat offroad trail near Walgamor Corners. The trail is a combination of sand, dirt, and grass, and roams through a delightful section of the Manistee National Forest. There's a lot of lush plant life along this trail. This trail is your classical Michigan two-track. Like most Michigan trails, conditions are dependent on the weather. Recent rainfall can cause mud/water holes that can get rutted out quickly. Most of this trail is only wide enough for 1 vehicle with limited places to pass. There is a fair amount of overgrowth along the trail. Please use caution. Regardless of the conditions, this is an epic trail! At the end of this route, you'll find a short spur trail that leads out to the Big South Branch Pere Marquette River/Cedar Creek which ends at a dispersed campsite. Should you partake in dispersed camping here, please tread lightly and seek more information from the local DNR Office/Ranger Station prior. This is a great place to camp, fish, swim, and enjoy the forest.
