Trail Overview
FS 4303 Part 2 is a narrow and twisty two-track trail with soft sand that takes you through a mix of pines and hardwood. It's just one of many Forest Service roads in the Huron National Forest. The trail can be run in either direction. Although it has seen some logging, the trail's natural beauty remains intact. Remember to stay on the trails and follow the Tread Lightly principles to preserve the natural environment. Note that Part 1 of the trail crosses the 15.3-mile Huron ORV, SMT/Huron ORV trail for all ATV and motorcycle riders. Snowmobiling is allowed in the winter and ORV in the summer.

History
Oscoda is the eastern gateway to northern Michigan's ATV and snowmobile trail system, linking you to all points north. Numerous trailheads and access points offer plenty of opportunities to get out and enjoy the trails. The ATV and snowmobile trails connect to an expansive trail network, beginning right into the heart of Downtown Oscoda. During the warm weather months, you can ride throughout the Huron National Forest and beyond. It doesn't stop during the winter, either; the network of snowmobile trails connects you west to Houghton Lake and Traverse City and north to the Bridge.
