Trail Overview

License Plate Required! 37-3/4 Trail is a unique and awesome Michigan seasonal trail, located just around the corner from Wesleyan Campground. The route starts on a gravel/dirt road along a beautiful row of pine trees. Shortly into the route, the trail turns into a typical two-track that consists of sand and dirt. As you continue, you'll be greeted by an abundant Aspen grove here within the Cadillac Forest Management Unit. There's a lot of lush plant life along this trail to be seen. Be sure to check out all the gorgeous wildflowers during your adventure. Like most of Michigan trails, conditions are dependent on the weather. Recent rainfall can cause mud/water holes that can get rutted out quickly. Most of this trail is only wide enough for 1 vehicle with limited places to pass. At the end of the trail, you'll find a small turnaround space and a small space for dispersed camping. If you plan on dispersed camping, PLEASE TREAD LIGHTLY, and seek more information at the local DNR Office/Ranger Station before camping here. Here you'll also find a foot trail that leads down to the Manistee River. During the summer months, the river can be hard to see from the end of the trail due to the foliage, but it's a pretty hike down. Regardless of the conditions, this is a spectacular trail to enjoy!
