Trail Overview
National Forest Service Trail 6336 is an easy and fun off-road trail. Located just west of Big Star Lake, this route is easily accessible. This trail is easy with nothing technical. Most of the trail is a combination of sand and dirt and weaves throughout a scenic section of the Manistee National Forest. Like most of Michigan trails, conditions are dependent on the weather. Recent rainfall can cause mud/water holes that can get rutted out quickly. There are a couple of angled side hills that will cause you to be a little tippy. However, these are very mild, but still something worth noting in case of recent weather that could cause these to get worse. Most of this trail is only wide enough for 1 vehicle, with limited places to pass. Regardless of the conditions, this is an awesome trail!
