The Coal Haul Road is a green trail that connects the Potomac River and North Hill Riding Areas of Wolf Den Run State Park. Wolf Den Run State Park has a good mix of green and blue, and black trails. It also has a slag pile playground. There are also a few narrow-width trails specifically just for SxS, ATV, and motorcycles to choose from.

Difficulty

The Coal Haul Road is primarily an ungraded gravel road. It is a mildly rutted ride in the summer months; however, during times of heavy rain, snow, and ice, the road will become heavily rutted and harder to travel on. There could be areas of heavy mud and standing water.

Access Description

The Coal Haul Road is a primary connector for the North Hill and Potomac River Riding Areas. It is accessed on the north from North Hill Road and from the south from Blue Trail 2101 in the Potomac River Riding Area.
