Trail Overview
Twin Lakes South FS 105 is a gravel forest service road in the northwest corner of the Kentucky section, Kentucky Lake side, of the Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area. It features a track from one Kentucky Lake cove-side campsite to another cove-side campsite only separated by a single hill in between. The main purpose of this road is camping, with the comforts of semi-established campsites featuring grated BBQ pits, picnic tables, boat ramps, rock fire rings, seasonal porta potties, and dumpsters on site, but lack campsite numbers or specific plots. The road is graceful, featuring a mild track over the hill in the dense forest, and waterside views on either end. Being right next to the North Visitor Center, and three nearby hiking trails (the North End Paved path, the North/South trail, and the Canal Loop trail) it is a great place to aim for especially if looking for a semi-established site on the LBL peninsula's northern end.
