This is an awesome scenic trail. You can skip the Old Fincastle section if you just want an easy drive through the Red River Gorge.

Difficulty
The Old Fincastle section is advanced, but can be bypassed. The rest of the trail is easy, with mostly gravel roads.

Downed Tree
Local landowner blocked the road by collapsing rock face. Vehicle sized boulders will require heavy machinery to remove. DBBB have tried to open the road, but the county is unwilling to take legal action.

Approaching from the HWY 15 side involves lots of downed trees and the trail seems to transition into a smaller trail used for pumpjacks with lots of tubing sticking out of the ground.
