Green Pond Ridge Road is part of the Daniel Boone Backcountry Byway and is a well-maintained gravel road with no obstacles. Traveling this road should give you no problems in any 4WD vehicle. Highly unlikely you'll need 4WD unless you venture out in snowy weather. You'll pass through a portion of the Daniel Boone National Forest as well as private land. The road winds through the forest briefly, then opens up to cleared farm land.
