Trail Overview

Trail 23 is the Main Loop around and through the Hillbilly Trails Offroad Park. Connect this section with Trail 23- Flatwoods Road to make a complete loop. This is the easiest of the trails and will be the thoroughfare for finding most all the other trails in the park. This trail is roughly just over 16 miles and will take you close to three hours just to go around the entire park. This is a maintained area that is groomed on the sides, gravel, rock, and dirt terrain, and wide enough to pass other vehicles.

Difficulty

History

This area of Pikeville and the Hillbilly Trails are areas of previous years coal mining the area as well as logging the woods. Using the old abandoned roads and trails, the land has now been repurposed so that off-roaders can enjoy the land.
