Trail Overview
South Shore follows along the southern edge of Kirwin National Refuge and the reservoir. This is a winding gravel road that follows the lake edge and along Bow Creek, which feeds into the reservoir. Along this trail, you will see plenty of wildlife like bald eagles, deer, and many others. There are lots of wildflowers that grow in the area, making spring a great time to visit. There is a visitor center also on the north side. Plenty of Lake access to get to those spots to try your luck at fishing or kayaking.
