Trail Overview
North Shore follows along the north side of Kirwin National Wildlife Refuge & reservoir. It is primarily gravel roads with very few washouts. Also on the West side of the trail is the visitor center, where you can stop in and get information. Travel in the morning or evening for a good chance to see plenty of wildlife, including birds and waterfowl. There are also plenty areas to access the lake for exploring and fishing.

History
11,000 acres of refuge along the Solomon river and the ancestral homelands of the Pawnee tribe. Here you will see where the tall grass prairies of east meet the short-grass plains of the west.
