Trail Overview

This trail presents a notable challenge due to a mix of steep terrain and deep mud holes. One end features a short but fairly steep hill climb that requires good traction and careful throttle control. The most difficult section lies in the center of the trail, where a long mud pit stretches ahead. The mud is extremely deep; vehicles with 40-inch-tall tires sink without finding a solid bottom. This section can easily swallow a tire and halt progress, making recovery gear essential. Fortunately, there are sturdy trees nearby for self-recovery if you become stuck. This trail is best suited for well-equipped rigs with aggressive tires, winches, and drivers prepared for serious mud challenges.

Difficulty

This trail is challenging mainly due to a deep, bottomless mud hole and a steep hill. Recovery gear is highly recommended, as traction alone may not be enough. It's manageable but requires caution and a capable rig.

History

This park was formerly known as Sandy Bottoms, and longtime visitors may still refer to it by that name. The access road and staging area have evolved over time, but it remains a well-known local spot for off-road events and community rides.
