Trail Overview

Wood Canyon Loop #5249 is an easy 2.3-mile ATV trail that winds through pine forest and open meadows with scenic aspen groves. The route includes semi-steep grades as it climbs up to a ridgeline and descends again, with gradual curves and wide, grassy sections of trail. Surface features include shallow ruts, large waterbars, and both embedded and loose rock, particularly on some of the steeper hill sections. These areas can make the ride a bit more technical and harder to maintain traction on the climbs, but there are no major obstacles or ledges. The trail follows a scenic open ridge line with slightly rockier ground before dropping back into the trees. Overall, it offers a mild challenge while remaining accessible to a wide range of riders.
