Trail Overview
Middle South Sulphur Canyon #5243 is an easy 2.1-mile-long ATV trail that begins at a marked entrance off Sulphur Canyon Road #50126 on the north end. The trail follows a wide, well-used, and maintained path with large waterbars, shallow ruts, and scattered small loose rocks. It gradually curves through the forest, steadily climbing toward a ridgetop with one longer, steeper section that leads to a scenic viewpoint. From the top, the trail descends steeply onto a saddle before continuing downhill to its southern end at South Sulphur Road #50177. While the climb includes gravelly, loose sections, the traction remains manageable, and the overall trail surface is mostly smooth, making it not overly difficult and still approachable for most average riders. The entire route is within private property within the National Forest; please remain on the designated path.
