Trail Overview
This route starts out from the 4th of July Pass recreation parking lot and takes you through Curran Saddle over to Marie Saddle Road #412. From there, it's just 2.3 miles back to North Fork Coeur d'Alene River #209, which is a main route back towards town or I-90. This is one of many entrances to get out into the national forest, and there are many trails to discover once you're off the pavement. This route starts out smooth and wide but soon turns into a single lane with limited places to pass- although there are occasional turnouts and intersections. This route may have snow from October through June and is unmaintained in the winter. Washouts and ruts exist up to a foot deep in places. Cell signal is limited in the area.
