Violet Drive

Trail Overview

Violet Drive is another shortcut between Church Road and a private residential area along Howard Road. The trail doesn't seem to get much traffic, as there are large areas where the trail bed is grass. There are some younger southern pines and areas of scrub along the eastern end, and stands of larger mature southern pines along the western end. The base is packed dirt underneath the grass, so travel is easy with no serious ruts or potholes along the way. Although the Powerline right of way at the western end is tempting, motorized vehicle travel is not allowed, so please "Stay on the Trail." Violet Drive is entirely within the Sansavilla WMA, and a valid Georgia Hunting or Fishing license is required to access the trail.
