Trail Overview

This trail is part of the Georgia DNR Wildlife Management Area around Allatoona Lake. A hunting, fishing, or land permit is required in this Area. Some spots can become muddy and will require a high clearance 4x4 to traverse. Lake Allatoona is at the end with a walking trail along the shore; however, this trail is permanently closed to vehicular access before you get to the lake so you will have to walk in. Great spot for launching canoes and kayaks. Some areas off the trail are private and some are leased to logging companies. Check with Georgia DNR before you decide to camp.

Difficulty

Parts are muddy when it rains. Some moderate short but steep grades will require careful driving.
