Trail Overview
Morning Star Road trail is a slightly winding drive through stands of old and young southern pine trees, scrub, and flatlands. A slight hill near the east end of the trail provides an excellent elevated view of the WMA property. Morning Star provides a connector between East End Loop and the lower paved section of Ten Mile Still Road, making for an easy transit to the western side of the WMA. The trail is generally one vehicle wide with places to pass, and the road base is packed dirt with crushed rock in many places. There are a few swampy areas along the west end of the trail.
