Trail Overview

This short spur trail branches off at the far end of Forest Road 227 and begins with a rock-and-dirt climb, leading into a narrow out-and-back route. The initial ascent includes several natural obstacles--some with bypasses, though not all--requiring careful navigation. While not especially difficult for experienced drivers, the trail does demand confidence, precise driving, and proper recovery gear. At the end of the spur, there's a turnaround area that also serves as a suitable spot for dispersed camping. Be aware that there are no facilities in the area, and cell service is sporadic--plan accordingly and come prepared.
