Trail Overview

Dry Creek is a well-used, 1-mile trail starting at a sign and fence at the edge of the staging area, restricted to 50" wide vehicles. It winds through a scenic forest of white oaks and loblolly pines with a fast, flowy feel. The trail features dips and rollers from waterbars, occasional loose rocks and roots, and some split lines around large trees in the middle of the path. The trail is dug out from the forest floor, resulting in foot-tall dirt walls on either side of the trail. Expect a few mud puddles in spring or after storms. The trail is flat with hardly any elevation change, and intersections are clearly marked.

Make sure to download the recreation.gov app to pay the $5 day use fee per ORV operator. The area is generally open from April through December 31, but can close after major rain events to let the trails dry. Call the Conasuaga Ranger District to check the status of the trails.
