Trail Overview
Cogden Lake Road is an out-and-back trail leading to the Cogden Lake boat ramp and Cogden Lake. The trail is accessed from the north end of Hinson Road. It's a mainly straight trail with a slight jog midway and is made up of a packed dirt base with several sections reinforced with crushed gravel. The trail is lined with stands of tall, mature southern pine trees. A large grassy area near the last turn before the boat ramp seems to attract wild turkeys, so be on the lookout as you approach. Cogden Lake Road is entirely within the Penholoway Swamp WMA, and a valid Georgia Hunting or Fishing license is required to access the trail.
