BLM Road #8324 provides a lengthy adventure around the crown and can act as an extension loop to BLM Road 8230. From this trail, you will see great views of Mt. Sopris, the Elk Range, Carbondale, and Basalt. This road is lightly used, and is overgrown at some points - so watch out for pin striping. There are limited campsites along this route - watch for horses, dirt bikes, and mountain bikes.

Access Description

From Carbondale, Head south on 133 and take a left onto Prince Creek Road. Continue until you see the Lower Prince Creek Campground and shortly after take a left. Head down BLM Road 8230 until you see the sign for BLM Road 8324. For the second Entrance, continue past until you reach Dinkle lake road, and continue. The turn will be on the left. Continue down BLM Road 8230 until you see the sign for BLM Road 8324.
