Trail Overview

Little Annie Road provides a great route to the Sundeck on the top of Aspen Mountain and access to Richmond Ridge. Features spectacular views of Castle Valley and the surrounding peaks. This road is fairly well maintained, and frequently traveled. Little Annie Road is closed in the winter with the exception of foot and snowmobile traffic.

The road is fairly well maintained, but there are some loose sections. Generally 2 vehicles wide for most of the road.

It had just rained when we went up Little Annie Rd. The road held up well. Some motorcycles, side by sides and other 4WD SUV's out there. Beautiful views. Definitely spots where folks camped previously. Took the family in the truck and had a great time.

Bottomed out and got stuck on the 2nd to last turn before Upper Hurricane Rd. Took several hours to clear out and free the jeep. Turns out the road is also closed at the top so you can’t get to Aspen from this road yet. Don’t recommend trying until all the snow melts, unless you have someone with a winch to pull you out with you.

Access Description

Travel west from Aspen 1/2 mile on Highway 82 to the Roundabout. Go around theRoundabout and turn right onto Castle Creek Road. Travel 7 miles to Little Annie Road on theleft. There is a small parking area on the right.
