Trail Overview
This is a scenic and challenging single track that parallels La Garita Creek. The west entrance to the single track is pretty faint and overgrown with grass as it departs from the ATV trail. The narrow trail goes along the creek and through grassy meadows, with some embedded boulders that you have to pick your way through. It goes through a pinch point, and then gets tighter and rockier, with really narrow sections elevated above the creek, and along scenic rock walls. The trail has several moderate rock ledges, off-camber rock layers, and a narrow side hilling with embedded rock. It also has a couple of steeper descending sections with several tight switchbacks. The switchbacks have embedded rock, and are really narrow on the side of the hill. The trail ends when it turns into a faint road near some private property.
