Trail Overview
The Buck Spur is a short singletrack with a few challenging rock obstacles. From the west entrance, off of the Buck Trail, it starts descending down a hillside where the trail is covered in larger embedded boulders that you have to ride down, making a series of steep ledges, each about a foot tall. It's tighter in the trees and more narrow, requiring tighter, more technical maneuvers in the rocky sections. The trail becomes a bit troughed out, a few feet below the forest floor, on the edge of the mountainside. There's a lot more loose rock on this trail filling in shallow ruts, making it harder to maintain traction. The trail keeps descending, with steep loose spots while making tight curves through the trees. The trail connects to the Dry Creek ATV Spur on the east end.
