Trail Overview

21 Road South is a route providing further access to dispersed camping and OHV opportunities on BLM lands in the Fruita/Grand Junction area. The road is paved for little ways once on public lands before turning to a mostly flat, gravel road for approximately four miles. At mile four, the road vastly changes in the degree of difficulty as it enters into the Book Cliffs; you will also see signage alerting you of crossing private land. Continuing on this route would eventually yield access to the Northern portion of 21 Road, which is a very demanding off-road route. There are several trails to explore that branch off of this main route. Stick to only previously disturbed areas. Pack out what you pack in.

This trail is mostly flat and even gravel roads up to mile four. The weather should be monitored before arrival as rains could vastly change the nature of this and alternate routes.
