Trail Overview
The Upper Dry Lake trail climbs nearly 150 feet in approximately a mile through young pine trees and other brush within Sequoia National Forest. Various flat open areas along the route provide good dispersed camping options. The trail ends at a turnaround with no exit beyond that point. There is a moto only trail at the end.

The trail starts with its most challenging conditions, presenting ruts, rocks, and off-camber sections early on before easing into a smoother and more manageable surface as it continues. Drivers who push through the initial section will find the latter portion considerably more relaxed.
