Trail Overview
This single track is over 3 miles in length, full of scenic and moderately easy riding through the Eldorado National Forest. The trail is mostly fast and flowy, but is shelfy in sections, as it winds down the edge of a forested hillside, along mossy rock walls, through some tight tree gaps, with a bit of exposure. The trail is comfortably wide in most areas, but still narrow in other spots. It's a bit rutted and troughed, with small natural drop-offs from embedded rock surfaces. It goes through a dark, shaded forest at the bottom of the hillsides, lined with brambles and ferns in the lower zones. There are a couple of wooden bridges to cross over the creeks, but as of September 2025, the bridge over the creek between Trails 5-1 and 5-2 was closed as it was being repaired. The rest of the trail was still accessible, though south of Trail 5-1, and north of Trail 5-2. North of the intersection with Trail 5-2, there's a short section of road, followed by an additional segment of easy singletrack that takes you directly to the 5 Corners Staging Area.

Difficulty
This is a moderately easy trail due to shelfy and exposed sections, semi-steep grades, and frequent roots. However, there aren't any major obstacles or rock ledges that would make it overly difficult for less experienced riders.
