Sand Pits Motocross Track

Trail Overview

Sand Pits Motocross Track is a public track in South Lake Tahoe that is open daily and is never usually prepped. It is unmaintained by the government and is usually prepped by dedicated locals. Most prep days come in the fall and rarely in the summer. Spring and fall are awesome when the rains come and bring moisture to the track. Everything is rollable and can be enjoyed by all. During dry times, the track is incredibly loose and sand over hardpack. When it rains, it rides as wet sand does and is incredible. Decent-sized jumps can be enjoyed by all looking to ride the track in the area.
