Trail Overview

This hard-pack sand route with many embedded rocks winds through forest surrounded by lots of trees and stunning views creating an immersive woodland experience. Small roots cross the trail, requiring navigation over natural obstacles. Steps and drop-offs reach up to 24 inches, creating serious vertical challenges. Scattered embedded rocks ranging up to basketball size, with a few large boulders to navigate around, punctuate the route. Many high banked turns and off-camber sections add technical tilt challenges. Narrow sections squeeze between trees, creating tight passages. Various rock gardens introduce technical rocky sections beyond the sandy base. The journey culminates at McIvers Cabin.
