Trail Overview
Lake Crowley Beach NE Cutoff is a scenic sandy track that links Benton Crossing Road to the shoreline of Lake Crowley, offering a shortcut to the beach route. As you drive, you're treated to sweeping views of the Eastern Sierra, including iconic peaks like Mount Morrison, Mount Sherwin, Mammoth Mountain, the Minarets, Mount Ritter, and even Mount Banner. The trail passes through an open grazing zone dotted with bright yellow wildflowers in season, and while the road is mostly one vehicle wide, there are several pull-outs for easy passing. The terrain is gently rolling, with some minor ruts, and the sandy surface keeps it from being too bumpy. Although, the center is starting to crown, which may pose a problem for low-clearance vehicles. This area is owned and managed by LADWP, so camping is not permitted, but it's a fantastic day route for photography, fishing, quiet exploration, or connecting to other trails near Lake Crowley.

Difficulty
This trail is ideal for stock high-clearance vehicles and drivers seeking a relaxing, scenic route. Although the sand is generally manageable, the buildup in the center of the trail can cause issues for low-clearance vehicles, so caution is advised.
