Trail Overview
4S06 Indian Canyon is a mellow green-rated trail marked by a flipped scrap car spray-painted with "SoCal Off-Roading." The route begins as a winding hardpack dirt road with light rutting before entering a shaded wooded section with overhanging trees and a single campsite along the trail. Terrain remains easy and beginner-friendly throughout. The trail eventually opens onto rolling California hills with scenic ridgeline riding and wide views overlooking nearby towns below. Expect typical water rutting in places, but nothing technical or severe. Wildlife is common, and lizards frequently dart across the trail. Follow the route to Ranger Peak at 5,020 feet, where riders are rewarded with 360-degree views of surrounding hills and valleys. Note: the final stretch to the peak is restricted to street-legal vehicles only -- green sticker vehicles are not permitted.
