Trail Overview

This part of the route picks up at the end of Part 1 and requires a hard right turn onto FS 3s106. There is some elevation climbing for most of the 4-mile length of this route. Most of that climb is hard-packed with roots and some tree branches hanging over the trail. There is a small slightly off-camber section that crosses a stream. After that, it continues to climb with small soft sections. The trail ends with a hard left turn into the rear parking lot of the Yodler Restaurant.

This trail is rated a 3 because of the short water crossing that has a slight off-camber exit. The majority of the route is a 1 or 2 and should be no problem for riders of any skill level.

Pretty tight at times with the trees. Some low hanging branches. Some rough spots, but nothing too bad.

Completely clear no issues today. Very dusty but normal for the area.

Taking this trail towards the mountain lodge encountered a stream coming down a hill near the end that appears to have washed out the trail quite a bit. The path is very narrow, covered with snow, and the ruts are deep which leads to a sharp right turn up a steep muddy hill. I'm not sure if it got better or worse after that but the situation seemed too sketchy for me. Much of the trail and surrounding areas also under work by forest service cutting down trees. Some areas are very torn up by equipment at the moment so deep dirt thru narrow spaces. Looking at it this morning there seems to be another branch of FS 3S113 that runs lower than the trail as marked towards the lodge. I didn't notice that but that may have been the way to go to get around the washout. In some cases trails have been blocked with debris so are not obvious or may be impassable. In some cases there has been a diversion laid down by forest service as they are working.

Nice little trail. Skinny! But still fit my fullsize truck down it.
