Difficulty
Most of the trail earns the easiest difficulty rating with its sand and gravel surface that is relatively flat and smooth. The trail is 1 to 1.5 vehicles wide throughout. There is a very short section in the middle where the Mammoth to June Loop and Mammoth Loop routes intersect, creating deeper ruts and requiring a rating of 2. Use caution entering this section as the ruts from other routes cause a small berm and drop off. Watch for low-hanging branches that will hit tall vehicles.
