Trail Overview

This 4-mile out-and-back trail begins just off Highway 108 near Cow Creek and climbs nearly 1,000 feet through a quiet stretch of mature pine forest. The surface is hard-packed dirt, generally smooth but dusty in dry weather. The route follows a narrow shelf road almost from the start, offering filtered views through the trees and occasional openings toward the surrounding ridgelines. In the fall, this area sees increased traffic from local deer hunters, giving the trail a distinctly seasonal character. Toward the end, the route passes beneath some interesting rock formations that mark the turnaround point. It's a scenic, forested drive perfect for a relaxed exploration.
