Trail Overview
This mellow sandy trail connects Bald Mountain Road to FS2S124B and winds through a beautiful open forest filled with tall pine trees. The terrain is relatively smooth, making it a relaxing drive with just enough variation to keep it interesting. The trail is lined with fallen pine cones and offers occasional glimpses of the towering Eastern Sierra range and Bald Mountain. While mostly wide and easygoing, the trail does narrow in sections, and some overgrown brush may leave pinstripes on wider vehicles. There are also a few short spur trails worth exploring for those looking to wander a bit deeper into the forest.

Difficulty
This is an easy, beginner-friendly route suited for most stock SUVs and trucks. The sandy surface provides good traction, and the trail remains generally smooth throughout. The only minor considerations are some narrow sections with brush that may affect wider rigs, and the abundance of pine cones that can shift under tires. No 4WD is necessary in dry conditions, though a higher-clearance vehicle is still recommended for comfort.
