Trail Overview
Starting at the northern end of the loop via White Mountain Road, the trail starts off through a beautiful valley with a few shallow creek crossings. As the trail climbs out of the valley, it becomes very rocky until it descends towards the switchbacks. The trail is very narrow at this point, and pin stripes are guaranteed for any size truck. The switchbacks are very tight, and larger trucks will struggle to make the turns without 3-point or more turns. After you get down the switchbacks, there are several steep climbs followed by some rocky/technical sections. These are passable with a high clearance 4x4 and the relevant experience. Once through these, the remainder of the trail is easy with several shallow creek crossings. Overall, this is a beautiful trail with multiple legal dispersed camp spots. It can be challenging in places, so be prepared.
