Trail Overview
This 4-mile out-and-back trail starts at BLM 326 NW and heads west. The surface is dirt and sand, surrounded by desert bushes throughout. Views of Superstition Mountain serve as your backdrop, with Fish Creek Mountain also visible, providing scenic mountain views. The trail follows a plateau just to the north of a wash, maintaining elevated terrain for most of the route. The trail does drop into a few small washes along the way where high clearance is recommended. The trail gets sandier as you head west and away from the highway, with the surface changing progressively. The route leads to a large rock formation where there is a banked loop trail providing an exciting destination feature. There are dispersed camping spots in the area where you can set up and enjoy the rock formation views.
